Standard Mode:measures the distance in a straight line to the target , at which you are aiming. Distance is measured to the tenth (meter/yard). If nothing (no mode icon) is shown on the display (to the right, or below the distance display indicator) - then you are in standard mode. If you hold the power button (ON) in standard mode, the laser rangefinder will continuously scan to keep YOU moving so that you receive constant distance information.
RAIN MODE:Measures the direct distance to the target, but ignores any interference caused by falling raindrops. However, the target distance must be more than 30m/33 yards. When RAIN mode is on, the Horizontal Distance measurement value will also be displayed (at the bottom of the display).
HUNT MODE:Measures the direct distance to the target, but ignores any interference caused by tall grass or bushes that are between you and the target. This mode is ideal, for example, for measuring the distance to a Roe Deer walking through tall grass or through the woods. When HUNT mode is triggered, the HUNT mode icon will have a circle around it (only applies if the distance is measured). When HUNT mode is enabled, the Horizontal Distance measurement value will also be displayed (at the bottom of the display).
"HORIZONTAL DISTANCE "HD" MODE:
Horizontal Distance (HD) MODE:Measures the horizontal distance to the target. The straight distance is shown at the top of the distance display and the horizontal distance at the bottom. This is particularly useful for compensated measurement of the distance of the charge to the target. For example, if you are shooting at a high angle in the mountains, or shooting an air rifle, the HD mode gives a more realistic distance for use in calculating target points. If you hold the ON button in HD mode, the rangefinder will continuously scan to keep YOU moving so you receive constant horizontal distance information.
ANGLE MODE:Measures the angle of view. It is measured to the tenth of a degree. The upper pointer displays the straight distance and the lower pointer displays the angle value. When measuring downhill, a minus symbol appears to the left of the angle display.
Adjusting the Display Brightness:
It is possible to adjust the brightness of the display in 6 brightness levels.The brightness adjustment mode appears when all icons are shown together. The brightness value appears at the top. You can change the brightness setting value by pressing the POWER button. The last setting value will remain the same after you turn off the rangefinder until you remove the battery.
Setting Units of Measurement:
The rangefinder can provide measurement values in meters or yards. To change units, hold the MODE button for 3 seconds.
M = meters, Y = yards.
