Highly sensitive sensor
Axion XQ uses a sensor (microbolometer) with a NETD sensitivity of < 40 millikelvin (mK), which characterizes the sensor's ability to distinguish between two nearby points with the smallest possible temperature difference, to capture a thermal image. The lower the NETD value, the greater the sensitivity of the sensor and the better it can detect small temperature differences of objects and separate them from ambient thermal noise. For example, during precipitation, fog or a cold morning, when the surrounding environment has low temperature contrast and these are the most difficult conditions for thermal imaging, in this case, due to the high sensitivity, the sensor will be able to distinguish the smallest temperature differences and the instrument will display an image with better detail.

Durable magnesium alloy body
The body of the instrument is made of lightweight magnesium alloy, which gives the instrument great strength and rigidity, while maintaining a light weight and compact size.

Detection distance over 1300m
The powerful lens combined with a professional temperature sensor with NETD sensitivity < 40 mK gives the instrument exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8 m high object can be detected in complete darkness at a distance of up to 1350 m.

Photo and Video Recorder
The built-in video recorder is a great help for capturing and preserving unique memories. One press of the REC button creates a recording that you can share with friends. The built-in 16Gb memory is used to store hours of video footage or take thousands of photo snapshots. Video is saved with audio, so you can add your own commentary to the footage.

Image Boost Technology
Image Boost Technology is a patented combination of software algorithms that increase the sharpness of thermal object contours for unparalleled image quality. Image Boost will make the image appear sharper, with very good rendering of even the smallest details of thermal objects, allowing for better detection and identification.

Waterproof IPX7
The IPX7 waterproof protection protects the device from rain, snow and dust and keeps the device operational even when immersed in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.

8 colour palettes
Different colour combinations of the image display are suitable for different viewing conditions. The Axion XQ thermal imager offers up to 8 colour display palettes. While the classic "White Hot" mode is extremely versatile, the "Hot Black" mode is often preferred for detecting wildlife at night. The red monochrome reduces glare and fatigue to the observer's eye at night. Sepia color often improves long distance observation, while "Red Hot", "Rainbow" and "Ultramarine" render temperature differences of different objects better. Purple helps to identify objects more quickly.

Super AMOLED display

To display the image, the device uses a state-of-the-art SuperAMOLED display with HD resolution, which is characterized by the rendering of very deep basic blacks and produces a high-contrast, finely-drawn image in vivid colors. In addition, this type of display ensures high display reliability even in freezing temperatures and does not dazzle or tire the viewer's eye.

B-Pack MINI power system with APS5

The Axion XQ uses the B-Pack mini system for power supply, which consists of the APS5 quick-change rechargeable battery pack, providing the instrument with power for 7 hours of operation. The device also allows for external power supply via a USB Type-C connector, where a conventional PowerBank, for example, can be connected.

Viewing modes
The Axion XQ offers optimally preset image display parameters depending on the viewing conditions. The preset modes for mountain, city and forest have different brightness and contrast adjustments for the most effective observation in a given environment. In addition, the instrument has the option to save user settings that are individual to each user. These modes will make it easier and more comfortable for you to get to know the instrument.

Variable digital zoom from 3.5x to 14x
The basic magnification of the instrument can be increased with the digital zoom, which provides better target recognition at greater distances. Change the magnification badly by quick jumps, as well as adjusting the magnification smoothly.

Picture in Picture
The "picture in picture" function displays an additional window with a 2x magnified image. The window is positioned centrally, at the top of the screen, and occupies only 1/10 of the total image area. The user can see the image in the full field of view provided by the instrument and at the same time can view the central part of the image in detail in a magnified view.

Graphic rangefinder
The graphic rangefinder is a dynamic rangefinder scale designed to determine the approximate distance of objects with a known height of 1.7 m (deer), 0.7 m (wild boar) and 0.3 m (rabbit).

Stream Vision app
Using Wi-Fi, Axion can be connected to a smartphone or tablet to view on-screen images, download recorded videos and photos, remotely control the device, update its software and many other useful functions.
