ATN X-Sight 4K Pro 5-20x

ATN has prepared another great day/night riflescope for 2018 - the ATN X-Sight 4K PRO 5-20x. This time he changed the whole design of the hunting riflescope from the ground up. Now the tube is 30mm in diameter which makes it possible to use the existing mount on hunting rifles.

The Ultra HD riflescope with the revolutionary sensor has an incredibly sharp image with a huge 4K resolution (3864x2218 pixels). At this high resolution, pixelation (blurring) of the image no longer occurs after digital zooming.

The new ATN Obsidian IV Dual Core processor together with the ATN 4K M265 , 3864 (H) x 2218 (V) sensor creates a huge leap in digital riflescope performance.

Recording at up to 120 frames per second is now standard. With this extremely fast recording, it is possible to step (slow-motion replay) a shot on game in detail and view the exact impact of the shot on the target. The riflescope can be set up with several types of ammunition to be used, or up to 10 guns to be used on the riflescope.

New ergonomics

The control buttons have been redesigned, resulting in easier operation of the riflescope.

The cover that secures the battery in the previous X-Sight II HD model has a completely different function in the new model -> Zoom. It can be easily used even in winter months, as well as pressing the buttons is much more comfortable even for people with larger fingers.

Battery life of the rifle scope

Unbeatable battery life on a single charge! No need to carry spare batteries or buy replacement power supplies.

The new ATN Obsidian IV Dual Core processor is not only extremely fast, but also incredibly power efficient. The world's first digital riflescope that lasts over 18 hours of operation on a single charge.

The batteries (made by Panasonic) are integrated and the endurance is truly unique thanks to the new processor which is extremely energy efficient.

These batteries have a lifespan of 1000 charge cycles. This means 18,000 hours of continuous operation. The batteries can be serviced and replaced when their service life is exhausted.

Charging is done with a USB-C cable/connector. With the new USB-C connector, it no longer matters how you turn the connector when powering.

Shock resistance

With new integrated batteries and all-new electronics, this riflescope was tested at the Shot Show in Las Vegas on the .50 BMG caliber - recoil energy of 16,000 J - 20,000 J. For comparison, the 30-06 Spr. caliber has 4,000 J.

However, the manufacturer's recommended endurance is up to .470 Nitro Express (8000 J).

Loading

The method of loading is much simpler with ATN products than with day optics. If you choose the priming feature, you have two deliberate crosshairs.

You shoot at the centre of the target and the actual hit is, for example, 10 cm above the centre. You simply move the second cross in the riflescope to the point of impact.

So now you have one cross at the center of the target and the other cross is moved to the point of impact. Confirm with one button and the riflescope will change the shot value to the second cross that marked the impact of the bullet (10cm above the centre). Only 2 shots are needed when spraying -> the second one is just a check, to confirm the shot :)

Smart rangefinder

This software rangefinder works by calculating the distance according to the height of the target I'm aiming at. For example, if I know that a paper target is 60cm high, I mark the top and bottom edge of the target and the rifle scope calculates the distance.

This method of calculating the distance has been used successfully for deer, for example, where the average heights of the game are very similar, but for black game the heights are very different.

ABL Laser Rangefinder

New in precision laser rangefinders, you no longer have to buy a rifle scope with an integrated laser rangefinder, which is bulky, 0.5kg heavier and only used a few times a year.

ATN has developed an additional rangefinder connected wirelessly via Bluetooth. You only deploy it when you need it. It attaches to the sun visor that is included with the rifle scope, this way you are assured that the rangefinder is pointing at the same place as the rifle scope.

The rangefinder also includes a sighting laser for checking the aiming of the target.

Just press a button and the distance will be wirelessly transferred to the riflescope, which can immediately shift the sighting warp using a ballistic calculator according to the current conditions, which the riflescope detects from the integrated sensors-> humidity, aiming angle, weapon tilt angle, temperature, barometric pressure and thanks to GPS also altitude. You have to manually add the wind effect and the calculator will recalculate the values.

The battery lasts more than 6 months of continuous operation with Bluetooth on !

Weight 360g

Ballistic calculator

No need to use expensive external sensors anymore. The rifle scope includes sensors for humidity, aiming angle, weapon angle, temperature, barometric pressure and, thanks to GPS, altitude. All you have to enter into the calculator are the parameters of the ammunition used, the distance at which you have the gun loaded and the distance of the center of the optic from the barrel.

This calculator does an excellent job of calculating the effect of wind on the target. Thanks to the built-in compass, it can determine what effect (depending on the direction from which the wind is blowing) the wind has on the displacement of the bullet's trajectory.

It is necessary to enter the wind strength and azimuth. By following this advice it is possible to determine the wind strength with very little deviation:

- 1 - 2 m/s - the wind can be felt on the face, large leaves and grass are moving

- 2 - 3.6 m/s - small leaves and heavy grass blades are moving

- 2.7 - 4.5 m/s - the tips of small trees move

- 3.6 - 5.4 m/s - bushes move

- 4.5 + m/s - trees/branches move

This ballistic calculator really works, ideally used with an ABL laser rangefinder.

Streaming video

Share the experience with other hunters! The ATN X-Sight 4K can record in Full HD, Stream 720p and also show hunters the game they are currently hunting at the same time.

RAV video recording after the shot

Never miss an unrepeatable situation again. Simply record everything. The ATN 4K riflescope knows when the gun has fired (by recoil) and can save video 5 to 30 seconds before the shot and 5 to 30 seconds after the shot.

Just press one button and you don't have to worry about anything, the riflescope continuously records and saves the section of video you want automatically.

Mounting on the weapon

The riflescope also includes several weaver rail mounts.

1. Standard weaver mount with base and sight

2. Standard mounting eye with weaver base with sight which also has short weaver rails at the top on both sides for mounting the illuminator and other accessories

3. A huge advancement in making this riflescope more comfortable to use is the part that is L-shaped, meaning it moves the riflescope closer to the shooter without having to buy longer mounting rails. For example, on rifles like the Brno 98 where the bolt safety is very high, there will be no problem using the riflescope with this mount.
