Batteries required:
-Child unit: We recommend that you power the child unit from the mains. You can insert four 1.5-volt AA alkaline batteries (not included) to provide automatic backup power in case of a power failure. Do not use rechargeable batteries. The baby unit does not have a charging function, and when rechargeable batteries are not used, they will gradually discharge.
-The parent unit is powered by two rechargeable AA 1.2V Ni-MH 1300mAh batteries, which are supplied with the baby monitor.
