Scarecrow resistance:
Indoor and outdoor use. The scarecrow is resistant to water, snow, moisture, dust, high temperature and freezing (-25°C to +80°C).

Deramax-Echo scarecrow safety:
In terms of its impact on humans, the Deramax-Echo scarecrow does not disturb its surroundings with unpleasant noise, is completely silent and safe. It meets the legal limits set for the maximum ultrasound level. Our internal rules then go beyond the applicable laws and also take into account current medical scientific work and the WHO recommendations for airborne ultrasound signals. At the same time, this bat scare has no negative impact on domestic or farm animals such as dogs, cats, horses, poultry, exotic birds, etc.

Comfort of operation:
The device does not need to be adjusted in any way, it operates fully automatically. Simply insert the battery and turn on the built-in switch.

Scarecrow placement:
A common solution for placing the scarecrow, and usually the most practical solution, especially for indoor use, is to place it on the ground in one of the corners of the protected area, with the front of the scarecrow pointing towards the centre of the protected area. However, it is also possible to fix the scarecrow with screws or double-sided adhesive tape to a fence, wall, post, window, door, etc., which is most suitable for outdoor use. Efficiency range of the Deramax-Echo:
The maximum effective distance in front of the scarecrow is up to 12 metres. The effective area range in square metres is up to 70 m². The effective angle of attack is 120 degrees. Thus, the scarecrow not only has a high power output, but the special design of the device ensures that a very wide effective angle of 120 degrees is achieved, while even at the limit of the declared angle of attack (i. e. outside the main direction of the signal) the scarecrow still generates at least 85% of the declared sound pressure level. Of course, the ultrasonic signal also propagates beyond the stated 120 degree angle of attack, but the efficiency is already lower here and therefore, for the sake of objectivity, we give an effective angle of attack of "only" 120 degrees.

Number of scarecrows in one area:
Any number of ultrasonic scarecrows can be placed in one location and their signals are not adversely affected in any way. On the contrary, it is common to use more scarecrows to protect especially larger or more rugged areas, because a larger number of scarecrows (repellers) installed in one location means a significantly higher penetration of the protected area by the ultrasonic signal and increases the overall effectiveness.

However, both battery and power supply types of Deramax scarecrows work in a completely different way and each type is optimized for "its" type of power supply.
